Timmy hasn't been acting like he usually does, I'm starting to get a little worried. Because of his robotic leg, kids are picking on him. He hasn't spoken to anyone in about a week, as he now finds it difficult to connect with anyone socially or emotionally. We're 15 now, we are sitting in the highest proportion of people with mental conditions in Australia, (27.5%). He was clearly depressed.
The bullies of our school have started to pick on him a lot more, he can't get any space. He hasn't been eating properly due to the anxiety of his situation, spent any time with his mates and I as he feels like we don't like him and find him a burden due to his situation and has lost all pleasure in his usual activities due to the stress of the bully's heckles. I had to do something.
I managed to get contact with him over text after a couple hours of trying and asked to meet up in person at our local park after school, he was resistant at first but I wasn't taking no for an answer. I wanted to help my friend out of depression and I knew exactly how to do it. I didn't choose to confront him about it in person to make sure I didn't make him worry more or make the situation worse.
Why? I'm busy. It's not like you want to hang out with me anyway.
Fine.
Hey, I hope you're doing well, meet me at Naura Park
