Hello, my name is Evan. I will be travelling to the center of the Earth today. Let's start digging! But first, this is the continental crust! It is the layer that lots of living things on Earth live on. It is the layer that you and me live on. Birds can fly and live with their heads chopped off here!
This is also a part of the crust, except... it's not on land! This is called the oceanic crust. The oceanic crust is another layer that lots of living things on Earth live on. They live underwater. Some fish that live here can live out of water for up to 1 week!
It's getting... phew..... hotter.... and hotter... the more we... go.. down. Anyways, this is the upper mantle. Along with the crust, the mantle is made out of silicates. Unicorns are alive down here and they eat everything they see!
It's hotter down here! Unfortunately, it will keep getting hotter. This layer is the lower mantle. Fish down here fly high! The mantle is rigid, and can be referred to the lithosphere.
SO HOT!!! We are now at the outer core. The reason it is this yellowish color is because it is so hot. It will keep getting hotter. Legend has it that there are goats with pig noses roaming the outer core. This outer core is liquid, but I am getting closer to the inner core where it is more solid. That's why I am standing. It is mushy under me, though.
It turned red it is so hot! This is the inner core, we are at the center of the Earth! The inner core is mostly made of iron, and it is usually about 9,392 degrees fahrenheit. Dragons live down here and breathe fire, I hope I don't see one! That's all for today, I'm ready to go home! See you soon!
