  • "Thesis statements can look scary but they really aren't" Mrs Smith says. Mrs Smith refers to "How to Write an Essay Introduction" by John S to help her students understand a thesis statement. "It takes many drafts to perfect a thesis statement".
  • Mrs Smith explains that the 5 W's and one H are a perfect way to set up an intro when its comes to connecting your topic to the essay and to the thesis statement.
