- The British and the French both wanted dominance over North America. This then led arguing about who owned the Ohio River Valley

- Since the French and good relationships with the Native Americans unlike the British, they were on the French's side and outnumbered the British

- The British got more helpers and upgraded their strategy, then they attacked the French.. This gave the British a huge advantage and they were winning

- The French surrendered and most of their territory was claimed by the British. The rest of the land was claimed by the Spanish
- Due to the cost of the war, the British started taxing the American colonies to pay off the expenses but they didn't like this and it caused a revolutionary war.

- The Treaty of Paris was signed in 1783 which announed the indpendence between the American colonists and the British
