- The Pilgrim board the Mayflower to escape from their king in Britain who would not give them religious freedoms.
- Maybe this new world will even give us resources
- Let's board the Mayflower, children
- The journey will be hard, but at least we will get to practice our own religion
- Some settlers came looking for gold. Instead of finding what the were hoping for, they discovered riches in the soil
- This land is rich and perfect for growing crops
- We need to hire help if we want to keep up this business
- This work is tiring
- We must win the war!
- The French and Indian War was a battle where France and the Native Americans were against Britain and its colonists.Outcome: Britain won

- The Boston "Massacre" was actually just the killing of five people. A man named Paul Revere made an engraving which greatly exaggerated what actually happened. This was to convince loyalists (people who were loyal to Britain) to join the patriots (people who wanted to create their own country)

- The Colonists were angered by the taxes they had to pay. Ever since the British won the French and Indian War, the countries were in debt. IN order to pay off this debt, Britain started taxing the colonists on things such as paper goods, tea, glass, paint, alcohol, and other goods. The Colonists became sick of having to pay taxes without having a say in the British government, so they started protesting. The Boston Tea Party was an event where the colonists disguised themselves as Native Americans and dumped hundreds of pounds of tea into the ocean as a protest against the taxation on tea.
- We don't want to have to drink just one kind of tea!
- DUMP THE TEA!
- We don't want to support the British government unless we have a say in Parliment!
- You colonists are not allowed to use the Boston Harbor or have your own jury, but you must keep British soldiers in your homes and do all of these other things as a punishment for what you did.
