Falling Action
It's fine. Maybe we should have tried a different approach.
Maybe a little part of it was to embarrass you.
After some time passes, the brothers decide to start a fire. The brothers continue to get sticks, when they suddenly get the idea to make Malcolm start the fire. Malcolm gets excited and is confident. His brothers tell him exactly how to start the fire. However, he struggles to lit the fire. After countless attempts, his brothers decide to do it on their own. They manage and start the fire successfully. Once again, Malcolm starts to feel discouraged and even sadder.
As it becomes darker, the brothers decide to sit around the campfire and cook the food they brought. Once again, the brothers encourage Malcolm to cook the food. However, to their surprise, Malcolm angrily declines. The brothers are confused and wonder why he is so mad. Malcolm bitterly explains how he was not able to do anything the brothers appointed to him. He felt useless and felt terrible. All of his emotions he built up through the time, all came out.
I cant do anything, so there is no point!
Sorry, I guess I just felt too useless to do anything. You sure none of that was to embarrass me?
The brothers, calmly, explain how everything they have been trying to help Malcolm. They explained they made him do those things so he could learn from mistakes he made during them. It wasn't to humiliate him or show off, but to teach him through experience. That is how they learned, from trial and error. Malcolm, calms down and understands their intentions.
