So, since the chemical got in your eyes, it will just be slightly irritated for 2 days. Don't rub them and be careful next time.
After her eye doctor appointment, Belle had to go to chemistry class. She had a lab using different chemicals. Before starting, Belle remembered that she had to wear gloves, goggles, and an apron to protect herself (eyes, hands, etc.) and those around her.

After her incident had happened she remembered to read the label sheet for the different chemicals.
Moral of the story: Belle was not careful and did not read the instructions on the shampoo bottle. As a result, she hurt her eyes and did not know what to do. The lesson that she learned with this incident is that one should always carefully read and reread the instructions/directions as they are written on the container of a substance before using the substance. This includes the First Aid and hazards. If Belle did not understand what she read, she could have asked her mother (or her teacher if it were to be in the lab), who would have carefully read over the ingredients and realized that there was a potentially harmful chemical in the shampoo. Belle learned that she should ask her teacher whenever she needs assistance. She also knows to dispose of her chemicals as directed by her teacher (including when there are leftovers of a chemical. By reading the label, Belle would also have realized that the shampoo is only to be used in small portions, and she would have learned what to do in case she got any into her eyes or nose. This taught Belle not to inhale or taste any chemicals in the lab. Finally, Belle learned that she always needs to wear the protection needed in the lab.
