  • The Stamp Act was the first tax to be put against he Colonist. The colonist where not happy, as a result they rioted in the streets. Parliament put taxes on papers, legal documents,etc. The colonist said, "No taxation without representation. 
  • Boston Massacre-1770
  • Parliament passed an act called the Declaratory Act. It basically gives Parliament the right to tax the colonist without their permission. It took away the Stamp Act, but set the Declaratory Act.
  • Tea Act-1773
  • The Townshend Act allows the British to search cargo or search premises without warrants. Which is unfair because the person can't just waltz in there. The colonist were not happy since no taxation without representation.
  • Boston Tea Party-1773
  • The colonist on the night of March 5th, 1770 were rioting in the streets in front of place where the King keeps his money. The colonist were getting violent and hitting the clubs and throwing snowballs.

  • The Tea Act was Parliament putting a tax on tea. One of the tea company's that the British usually take tea from was going out of business so they wanted them to stay in business. Therefore they put a tax on the tea so that the tea company to stay in business.
