- "where'd he go"
- Chapter 1: Lev, Vera, and the twins were fighting planes in the sky . Vera then spotted a German man falling from the sky. Nazi was heading towards them so they ran and they saw a soldier and they striped him and lev took a knife from the corpse's ankle.
- Chapter 2:this is where lev met Kolya. Kolya was a blond, blue-eyed, tall soldier. Kolya offers lev a piece of sausage introducing himself.

- chapter 3: this is where the colonel meets and gave koyla and lev the mission to find a dozen eggs to bake a cake for his daughters wedding. The colonel took their ration cards and gave them a week to bring eggs for his daughter's wedding. the colonel gave them a curfew waiver and also 100 ruble notes.
- chapter 9: this is where they found out that "daring" was a male rooster and not a chicken. they doctor know that a male rooster can't produce eggs. After they found out they decided to make soup out of daring, they named it "daring" soup and it was their meal that night
- chapter 12:when lev and kolya is walking through the forest and then they heard a dog howling. They went to check where the howling was coming from and they saw many dogs they were dead and injured. kolya saw a dog suffering and he decided to help it so he asked lel for the knife and he cut the dog .
- Chapter 14: while lev and kolya was walking to Mga it was getting dark and then lev saw a farm house. Lev wanted to go there but koyla didn't because it was German territory but they had no choice. When they went inside they saw four girls which were used to satisfied the German soldiers.
