Storyboard Text

  • The fleets of Agamemnon, Menelaus, and other kings arrived at Troy. Agamemnon and Menelaus decided to first come in peace, and ask King Priam of Troy to release Helen.
  • Menelaus: “Great King Priam, we are honored to be here. You are a just and wise person, and therefore you will truly see the reason to return to sparta what belongs to sparta.”
  • Priam: “My son loves Helen. I refuse to give her to you.”
  • Menelaus: “It’s settled then. This is the beginning of war!”
  • “I want my wife back.”
  • For 9 years, Menelaus and his company was in war with the trojans.
  • Trojans
  •
  • Acheans
  • In the 10th year, Acheans sacked the neighboring cities of Troy. Among those cities was Apollo, where Achilles captured Briseis, and Agamemnon captured Chryseis, a priestess. Agamemnon refused to return Chryseis to her father, so the father struck a plague against the Acheans.
  • Father: “Give me back my daughter, otherwise this plague will continue to kill your troops!”
  • Achilles: “That is not fair! She is mine.”“I withdraw myself entirely from battle.”
  • Agamemnon:“Stop the plague! I will give back your daughter. Give me Briseis, Achilles concubine, instead.”
  • The Trojans waged war with the Acheans once again. Despite Achilles anger, he was still scared that Acheans might lose against the Trojans. Patroclus, Achilles’ friend had an idea.
  • Achilles:“If you insist, then have it your way. Now my troops is yours to lead, and you will fight against the Trojans, letting the us become victorious. Do your best, and come back alive.”
  • Patroclus:“Someone has to lead your army Achilles. I swear I will do my best.”
  • Unfortunately, Patroclus was slayed in the war by Prince Hector (Paris' brother) of Troy.
  • Achilles: “No, I can’t risk your life.”
  • Patroclus:“Give me your armor. I will impersonate you and lead the army.”
  • Achilles was so grieved by the death of his dear Patroclus that he reconciled with Agamemnon (who returned Briseis), and entered the battle. Achilles met Hector in single combat and killed him.
  • “At last! Vengeance is mine. I will drag your dead body around the ground for as long as I want.”
  • Apollo: “Hit him in his heel.”
  • After some days, Paris sought for revenge and went after Achilles. Paris killed Achilles with the help of Apollo’s divine guidance.
  • Soon after the death of Achilles, Paris himself received a fatal wound from an arrowshot by the rival archer Philoctetes. Paris’ death quickly followed.
  • Paris: “This is for my great brother Hector. You deserve to die for you not only slayed him, but you also desecrated his dead body.”
