The crusades were a string of conflicts with Muslims meant to reclaim the Holy Land. Due to the high number of knights killed in this fight the feudal system was gone and the common people were able to flee their houses in their absence.

The Magna Carta was a pact between the nobles and the rulers that boosted nobles legal privileges and reduced a kings authority. Due to the establishment of a democratic government that transferred authority from the monarch to the people it led to the end of feudalism.
The bubonic plague was a sickness that spread throughout Europe and claimed the lives of around 25 million people. Due to the great number of deaths there was a great demand for peasant labourers and many of them abandoned their manors, giving power from the feudal lords to the peasants. This led to the collapse of feudalism.
An ongoing conflict between England and France for control of French territory was known as the Hundred Years War. Rulers on both sides developed professional armies and collected taxes so they could stop depending on nobles for knights. The common folks who survived gained influence and were in demand for employment. These two factors contributed to a change in the balance of power and the collapse of feudalism.
