It was 8th grade year I had nothing to do all day and the other days due to quarantine and covid-19, so I barely went out. One day my friend Ethan comes over and brings his skateboard. My friend and I chill at my house we play basketball and such. Later that day my friend Ethan asks me to go skate with him. at the time I was kinda nervous because I never skateboarded before and I had fears of falling and breaking a bone or something. after him persuading me multiple times, I finally decide to go out skating with him.
nothing.
Yea what's wrong ?
Whats wrong?
We out in the street infront of my house my friend Ethan was letting me borrow his skateboard while he tried to teach me how to skate. I was very scared at first. I wobbled a bit trying to ride, but supposedly I learned how to ride a skateboard under 5 minutes. I was very proud in my self. My friend Ethan was hyping me up, he tried teaching me how to ollie after but that was very hard for me so I fell many times. My friend Ethan and I kept taking turns using the skateboard since I didn't own a skateboard at the time.
Boi aint no way
no way your first ollie!!
At the end of the day my friend Ethan tells me to buy a skate board so I could skate with him and his skate Buddys and also teach me how to skate. a few days later of me thinking of getting a skateboard. I decide to go to Walmart to buy my first skateboard. My friend Ethan has told me to get a cheap Walmart skateboard first so I could get use to skateboarding and to see if I actually really like skating. And he also told me when I actually get good and wanna continue skating to get a more expensive high quality skateboard, and that's exactly what I did.
kick flip on quarter pipe!
WOW!!!
When I got my skateboard all told my friend Ethan and my other friend Nike skated too with Ethan. A day or two later they invite me to come skate with at the same park. I was obviously a beginner so I was trying to take slow and was trying to learn Ollies, but see my other friends and other people at the skate park made me feel like I didn't belong there because I was a beginner and was bad at skating at the time. And only knew how to ride around like a poser. I sitted on the benches or stairs of the skate park watching way better skaters skate for most of the day. unit we left.
After that day it gave me the confidence to actually start skating more. So every day me and my friend niket would go skateboard and try to learn new tricks. I've been practicing how to learn how to ollie for a few days. Until a week later when my friend niket and I was at the park I landed my first ollie. I was very happy because that was my first every trick on skateboard. I kept skating everyday with my friend niket until I learned a few more tricks, and even got a good brand new high quality skateboard from the mall.
A month or two months goes by me my friend niket, and Ethan meet this skater at the park named Tony which is his nick name, his actual name is Anthony. He is a good friend I'm still friends with him to this day. He teached me how to kick flip. I even went back to the skate park with other skaters and I finally felt like I belonged I was doing tricks people at the skate park haven't even seen before. I even made new friends from skating and from the skate park.
