- Hello, I'm Farmer Dave and this is my farm. I'll Be talking to you about Land and Labor the two key factors of productions. Many Farms have a machinery and others are all man operated. It's important to understand that Land is the holding place of food being grown or raised.
- Farm workers deserve a lot of credit. According to the USDA Farm workers tripled the amount of outputs per year. Without land there's no labor.
- I'm a farmworker here at Farmer Dave's. I'm here to let you know about farmworkers. Farmworkers in California have a law to help prevent heat stress. This law ensures we get shade and water breaks, but that doesn't protect us from everything. A lot of workers can get pesticide poisoning. There have been 815 U.S deaths due to heat stress.
- If we lost 50% of our workers we'd have to slow productivity. And raise prices on whole selling to stay profitable. Workers play a giant role in productivity. Its important we protect the land and our workers to maintain a very productive farm.
