- The second stage is Assessment Evidence. Basically, I need to finds ways where I can know that they know what I want them to. Last Monday I did a performance task where I assigned a project that was about our unit. I also gave them a rubric so they know what I'm looking for. I always try to give feedback on the project so that my students know why the got a certain grade
- I had no idea that you had to plan this much as a teacher!
- The final stage aka the third is, Learning plan. All it really is , is what I need to do in the classroom to prepare my students for a future assessment. Part of the learning plan is teaching and learning and thats when students really absorb the things that I'm telling them.
- I think I remembersome of my teachers doing this!!
- When I first started teaching I didn't really use UbD so my lessons were unorganized and I never really knew is my students were benefitting from my lessons. Now my students test scores are where they should be and my lesson run somewhat smoothly.
- so what did you do today?
- Well, all I did was save the earth from an alien invasion but I think what you said was cooler!!
