The five regions of the United States all have many things about them that make them unique. The Midwest has 12 states and is known for its farming, severe weather, and its low, flat land. The Midwest has great landmarks for tourists to visit, such as The Mall of America and Mount Rushmore. Let’s learn all about the Midwest region with Storyboard That!

The midwest region has cold winters and hot summers. Create a storyboard describing the climate!

  • Frigid Winters
  • It's too cold to be outside!
  • Hot Summers
  • Finally, the AC is getting fixed!
  • Severe Storms
  • Look at that!
  • Winters in the Midwest are long and very cold. Blizzards are common and often bring heavy snow and high winds.
  • Because there is no ocean nearby to cool the land, Midwest summers are very hot.
  • Tornadoes are frequent occurrences during the spring and summer in the Midwest. Part of the Midwest is called "Tornado Valley" because there are so many!
