- We are in the great palace in Kapilavastu , where king Suddhodana and queen Mahamaya were about to have a baby boy .
- On the full moon day of the month while on her way to visit her parents the Queen Gave birth in Lumbini park.
- The kingmet with five noble men to decide on his sons name. They chose Siddhartha which means "the one whose wishes will be fulfilled'.
- Two days after Siddhartha was named the queen died. The king wanted to shield his son from the dangers of the outside world and because of that Siddhartha spent his life within the palace walls.
- Siddhartha asked his charioteer to take him on an excursion beyond the palace walls. On his first visit he encountered on old man walking, but he did not know what was wrong with him. He learned that it was the affects of old age which happens to everyone. Siddhartha was very distressed to learn about this.
- On his next excursion outside the walls he encountered a sick man riddled with illness.He asked his charioteer if everyone could become sick.Once again Siddhartha learned that everyone could become sick. And at this moment his fathers perfect world was crumbling around him.
