scene 1: Antigone and Ismene talk about their dead brothers. Antigone plans to bury their brother which is now against the law. Ismene tells Antigone not to do it. Antigone wants Ismene to help but she refuses because she would rather follow the law of man than law of gods.#160;
He's honoring#160;one with a full funeraland treating the other one disgracefully(line 26-27)
scene 2: Creon believes he can control the laws of the dead and of everyone alive. he believes that his laws are greater than that of a god. a guard comes in and explains to Creon that the body was buried and given a proper burial which Creon made illegal. the guard tells what happens then leaves saying he'd never come back because if he had he'd pay the consequences of burying the body even though he didn't do it. But#160;the guard returns with Antigone stating that she was the one who buried the body. she admits that she did it. Antigone and Creon argue for awhile then Ismene enters and states that she took part in it too so that her sister doesn't take all of the blame and that her life is nothing without her sister.#160;
I did not think#160;anything which you proclaimed strong enough to let a mortal override the gods and their unwritten and unchanging laws(lines 514-517)
Don't ever hope for that. She'll not die with me just standing there. And as for you— your eyes will never see my face again(lines 890-892)
scene 3: Creon's son Haemon enters to discuss with his father about how he has been acting and Antigone's punishment. Haemon calls out his father for speaking against the gods and that he is not listening to those around him like a good king should. Creon does not like how his son is speaking to him and blames his way of talking on Antigone#160; because Haemon and Antigone were to marry. by the end Haemon says that if Antigone dies, she won't be the only death.
scene 4: Antigone is being taken to her final resting place. here she is given the proper stuff to escape but it's nearly impossible still. throughout the scene she talks and is basically stating her final words. Creon shows her no mercy as the walk down the path to the chamber.
Without lament, without a friend,#160;and with no marriage song, I'm being led#160;in this miserable state, along#160;my final road(lines 1002-1004)
scene 5: a prophet comes to Creon to talk about the current situations. the prophets tells him that the city is cursed because of him. he disobeyed the gods and if he wants to save them from disaster he must bury the body and let Antigone go since she committed no crime. Creon orders for the body to be bury and go to free Antigone. by the time he is there is son was crying next to the hanging body of Antigone. Haemon tries to kill his father but misses so instead kills himself next to Antigone. Creon goes back home after the event to find his wife had also died.
