- Bob's Journey
- Bob was a small rock. He had been weathered down very small on his trip to the Alps when he got caught in the middle of a blizzard. He was buried in the deep snow. The other rocks made fun of his size. Even though the other rocks would be mean to him and tease him, Bob was always kind and helped them. When the other rocks were mean Bob would whisper to himself, "Small, but mighty."
- Carried Away
- Right after everyone fell asleep a big storm started. It was raining heavily and it was hard to see outside. Bob is so light that he got carried away in a big gust of wind. " Help!" he cried. The only one that heard him was the meanest of all the rocks, Steve. " You go little dude!" shouted Steve. He laughed, then started snoring again.
- Help!!!
- Lava!!!
- In the morning, when Bob was finally brave enough to open his eyes, he saw a beautiful island. The wind was slowing down, so he thought he would be deposited at his first stop soon. A beautiful island! Then, Bob saw smoke. "Why would there be smoke on such a beautiful island?" He paused. I hope that is not what I think it is. The wind brought him a little closer. That is what I think it is!!!!!

- Big and Black
- Bob was dropped into the lava seconds later. Then, he melted! He wasn't a rock anymore, he was lava!!! The volcano spit him out. When he cooled off, Bob realized he wasn't lava. He hardened again. Now, Bob was back to being a rock, but this time he was bigger, and a totally different color. He was pitch black! After taking in his new look for a few minutes, Bob felt a gush of wind. "Here we go again."
- Smooth!
- After a long ride through the sky, Bob was dropped off at a river. Okay, probably more like plopped down into the river and sunk to the bottom. Bob was laying on the river bed for quite some time, but just then he felt something. There were rapids going over him! After a while of just waiting for the rapids to go away ,so he wouldn't get caught in them, Bob was able to get a hold on a branch at the edge of the river. He hopped out of the river and realized something. He had been feeling different, but didn't know what it was... until now. Bob was flat!!! The rapids flowing over him had weathered him down, so now he was flat!
- Where it all started
- Bob looked around the river. He recognized this place. This was the river right by the hill where all the rocks play! He walked for a few minutes over to the hill. Standing right there was Steve. "Bob, is that you? You are so flat and... BIG!!! " Steve declared. Bob was so excited to be home! Plus, now the rocks wouldn't make fun of him! "It's me all right," exclaimed Bob. Steve apologized to Bob for all the mean things he and the other rocks had said to Bob." Small is MIGHTY!" Finally, Bob and Steve went to go tell the other rocks Bob was back. Now, all the rocks loved Bob. Bob was so glad he got caught in that storm what felt like so long ago. None of this could have happened without the help of weathering, erosion, and deposition.
