- The executive branch consists of the Monarch (represented by the Governor General), the Prime Minister, and the Cabinet. This branch makes decisions and implements the laws.
- Known as Parliament, the legislative branch consists of the Monarch (represented by the Governor General), the Senate, and the House of Commons. Their roles include making the laws, raising taxes, and authorizing government spending.
- This is the branch of government that is responsible for interpreting the laws and administering justice. It consists of Supreme Courts, Federal Courts, Military Courts, and Provincial Courts.
