Hot and Sunny
Come in, Sally and Rover! It is so hot outside!
The climate in the Southwest very rarely changes; it is usually hot with dry air and sun. Some parts of the Southwest have more than 300 days of sunshine per year!

Very Little Rainfall
Because there is very little rainfall in the Southwest, droughts are a concern. The parts of the region that get some rainfall have to use the water sparingly for crops. Most areas are too dry to grow crops at all.
