- Bud goes through the kitchen window and finds his suitcase under the table. Bud sees the gun but decides to hide it just in case the Amoses try to shoot him. But Bud wasn't going to leave until he got his revenge. Bud wanted to make sure that what happened to him didn't happen to anyone else. The perfect revenge was to make Todd wet the bed because Mrs.Amos hated bed wetters.So Bud got a glass and poured hot water to make Todd wet the bed. Bud ends up leaving the Amoses.
- Bud ran away from the Amoses and decides to head to the librabry in hopes that the librarian Miss Hill would help him. Bud was planning to sleep in the basement but they had put bars on the windows. He ends up climbing underneath a "christmas tree" to sleep. Bud opens his suitcase to make sure everything is there and that nothing was stolen. Bud takes out a picture of his mom and remembers what she said to him about that day. Bud puts everything back and gets to sleep.
- Bud wakes up and starts running to the mission in hopes of get there in time for breakfast. When Bud arrives he gets in line with the others and a man tells him that he is too late. The man begins to argue with Bud. Then someone calls Bud Clarence. The man told "Clarence" to head back in line with his momma. Bud caught up to what the family was doing and they all got their breakfast. Bud was thankful for the family that had helped him get some food so that he wouldn't starve. After Bud heads back to the library.
