How to Use a Storyboard Template

1. Click "Copy This Storyboard".

Find a template you want to use. Click the button that says "Copy This Storyboard". If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to create an account. Log into your teacher account or register for a free teacher trial.

2. Customize Storyboard.

After logging in, you will land on the Storyboard Creator. Make changes to the storyboard to suit your purpose.

Changes might include:

  • Adding or removing cells
  • Customizing text, including adding text boxes
  • Changing the cell layout (title or description boxes)
  • Adding characters, scenes, symbols, or other artwork

3. Save.

Click on the "Save" button on the bottom bar of the Creator. Give your storyboard a name. If you have previously created an assignment, you can select the assignment from the drop-down.

4. Use!

  • If the storyboard is a complete work, you can print, download, or share.
  • If you want your students to use this storyboard as a starting point, add this storyboard as a template to an assignment.
