A scrapbook page lets students flex their creativity and is a fun alternative project for analyzing characters, historical figures, or even themselves. They can incorporate different media, such as drawing or cutting and pasting, and can be done in class or as a fun homework assignment.
Scrapbook pages are fun! They can be used across curricula and allow students to think more freely about the subject they're creating a scrapbook for! It encourages creativity and analysis or self reflection. Have your class create a page about themselves and make a book to look back on at the end of the year. Or bind together a scrapbook of different characters to showcase at parent night.
