Character Comparison worksheets are structured in such a way that students are able to visually show the differences and similarities of two or more characters. These worksheets include a graphic organizer, such as a Venn-Diagram, grid, or chart, and help students organize their thoughts in a simple way.
The ability to determine the similarities and differences between characters shows that students are able to truly comprehend what they are reading. It also shows a more in-depth understanding of the characters’ journey, evolution, and attributes. Character worksheets are useful tools to help teachers determine how much their students are understanding about the novel, and the characters in the story.
To make a Character Comparison worksheet, click the "Copy This Storyboard" button on one of the templates. Once you're in the Storyboard Creator, click on each of the elements on the template to change them to fit your needs. When you're done, hit "Save & Exit"! You can print your worksheet right away, or simply keep it in your storyboard library until you are ready to use it.
