Social Emotional Check-Ins are a welcoming and discrete way to invite students to share how they are feeling each morning when they arrive at school. These worksheets could be located by the door or on students’ desks each morning, and used as part of the regular morning routine.
Social Emotional Check-Ins worksheets are important because they give teachers the opportunity to check in with their students daily, without the concern of others hearing, or singling anyone out. Students can share how they are feeling and can be heard, without taking up class time. Knowing their students’ moods each day will give teachers insight as to how best to help individuals, as well as give them a heads up if someone is upset or having a bad day.
