- Before the French Revolution France was in a horrible state. France had a horrible smell due to the uncleanliness of the people and town. The leather industry was also a problem because it just contributed to the filth and smell of France. Even after the revolution it left dead bodies adding to the horrible smell that would soon concern the people and their health.
- Marie Antoinette
- Rumors spread of "aristocratic conspiracy" These aristocrats were people against The nobles since they felt they didn't take care of their people or country.
- Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen
- On July 14th, the aristocrats decided it was time to take action they all crowded around the Bastille with various weapons ready to fight.
- Marie Antoinette and her hustband King Louis XVI were taken by the commoners and held in prison.
- In 1789 the declaration of the rights of man and the citizen was made. one quote off of it is "all men are born and remain free and equal in rights”
