- Ok class! Today we are going to be learning about scientists who were the founders of cell theory.
- Our first scientist we will be learning about is Robert Hooke. Hooke was the first person to use the term "cell". He was looking at a cork with a microscope and noticed they looked like prison cells.
- I shall call these cells!
- Next is Robert Brown. He discovered the nucleus of the cell, which supported the part of cell theory that says all cells come from preexisting cells.
- Ha! Found you!
- Ahh Man...
- Mattias Schleiden was a botanist. He noticed that the cells in plants are alive. He worked with Theodor Schwann to create the Cell Theory.
- ITS ALIVE!!!!
- Its Schliedenstein's Monster actually not just Schliedenstein
- Theodor Schwann and Mattais Schleiden were both work partners and one night they both said about how their research pointed to cells being alive
- Cell Theory!
- Our last scientist is Rudlof Virchow. He was the scientist who created the third and last part of cell theory: all cells come from preexisting cells.
- Why didn't I believe Robert Remak before!
