Ok class! Today we are going to be learning about scientists who were the founders of cell theory.
Our first scientist we will be learning about is Robert Hooke. Hooke was the first person to use the term "cell". He was looking at a cork with a microscope and noticed they looked like prison cells.
I shall call these cells!
Next is Robert Brown. He discovered the nucleus of the cell, which supported the part of cell theory that says all cells come from preexisting cells.
Ha! Found you!
Ahh Man...
Mattias Schleiden was a botanist. He noticed that the cells in plants are alive. He worked with Theodor Schwann to create the Cell Theory.
ITS ALIVE!!!!
Its Schliedenstein's Monster actually not just Schliedenstein
Theodor Schwann and Mattais Schleiden were both work partners and one night they both said about how their research pointed to cells being alive
Cell Theory!
Our last scientist is Rudlof Virchow. He was the scientist who created the third and last part of cell theory: all cells come from preexisting cells.
