- Jin moves to a new school and doesn't fit in. He feels alone in class and gets called names for being Chinese. One day he walks into school and meets a new student, His name is Wei-Chen and they become best friends.

- I am so excited to spend 2 weeks with you.

- Jin has a crush on a girl named Amelia and asks her if she wants to go to the movie theater. Once they finish the movie, Jin runs into a bully named Danny, and tells Jin to stay away from her and that he doesn't deserve her. He doesn't like the idea, but he doesn't want to start an argument, so he walks away.

- Jin gets upset that Danny doesn't want him to hang out with Amelia anymore. When we come to school the next day he sees Wei-Chen's girlfriend crying. He sees this as an opportunity and kisses her and she immediately ran away. When he gets home Wei-Chen knocks on his door and Wei-Chen punches Jin in the face. They aren't friends anymore.

- Jin is sick of getting made fun of for being Chinese. When he goes to bed he wishes to be an American boy. When he wakes up he does his morning routine and goes to brush his teeth. When he looks in the mirror he discovers that instead of being Jin, he is now Danny the kid who would bully him. Every year his cousin Chin-kee comes to his house and he has to tolerate him.
- After a rough day of school, Danny has enough of Chin-kee ruining his life, so they get into a fight. Shockingly, Danny chops off Chin-Kee's head and reveals that he is a monkey god. He talks about how Wei-Chen is his son and rebelled against him. He sent Wei-Chen to Jin. He wanted Jin to be happy with who he was.
- Jin turns back into himself and feels like a bad friend. He waits at a diner for almost a month every night and sits hoping that Wei-Chen will show up, so he can apologize to Wei-Chen for what he did. One day when he was in the diner he saw Wei-Chen and asked him if he could sit down with him. Jin apologized for being mean and they became friends once again.
