So, I was doing my Math Homework and I came across this problem:

12801 • 19020

I'm gonna solve it by multiplying straight down, that's a lot of numbers.

My Math teacher told me that I can use a calculator, but I want to challenge myself.

So first,

I line the equation up, make sure that they're all in the right spots.

Secondly,

I need to get a pencil that I can write with as well as a piece of paper.

Ok, so I'm back with the paper and pen, so let's start solving.

This is our equation: 12801 • 19020

let's line it up,

19020

12801

Nice! it looks like they have the same amount of numbers which makes it a little easier to handle. First i'll solve for the last two numbers:

1 •0 = 0

and then I'll write than underneath to mark that as the first number in the final product.

If you didn't know, Product = answer for a multiplication problem.

and then i'll answer fro the second number:

0 • 2 =0 , wow there are a lot of zeros in these two numbers

and then the third one, 8 •0 = 0, more zeros?!

Ok, so right now we're at _ _ 000, so we only have to answer for two more equations that hopefully won't equal 0.

then for the fourth one,

2 • 9 = 16, finally! not a zero

and then the final fifth one,

1 • 1 = 1

and that concludes that our final sum is, but wait!

The answer to the fifth equation is not 1! I almost forgot about the 2 • 9 = 16! The 16 won't for into the one spot. so we need to move the ten up so that it'll fit. and so THAT brings our final product to:

26000!

and so we're done!

And so that concludes this Storyboard. And I have a super weird and perplexed expression on my face right now because there weren't any others. :)
