- so when Melba was at lunch she had to get something from her locker so when she went back to her stuff inside the the locker they were burnt

- so they ran to the office and told the principal that the white kids burned her locker and he said we cant do nothing because we are already trying to keep you safe
- There are many cruel actions that the white students did to the black student
- Melba and her mom and grandma was at the dinner table and Melba told her mom and Grandma that a white boy was trying to help and that she didn't believe him
