- " I'm afraid I've just defiled your holy hands by touching them with my unworthy ones. But, I can make it up to you. My lips are ready to smooth over that rough touch with a kiss."[To Juliet, while taking her hand]
- 4. "Well then let our lips do what our hands are doing. They are praying for something after all, a kiss."
- 2. "Yes, but don't saints and worshippers have lips?"
- 1. "Romeo, you are to harsh on yourself. Your hand shows perfect devotion by holding mine. After all, pilgrims touch the hands of saints and the hands kiss when there palms meet."
- 3. "Yes, lips that should be used for prayer."
- "Don't move while I get my prayer answered."
- In this scene, Romeo has approached Juliet at the Capulet's ball during a party. As he approached her, he took her hand and said a few words.
- During this scene, Juliet comforts Romeo a little bit about his hands. Romeo then moves on to talk about how he wants to kiss her.
- In this last scene, Romeo and Juliet kissed.
