- Above world, chief of sky got bored of home from the cold weather so he decided to create a hole to reach down to Mount Shasta. With his stick he created earth.
- The mountails became their lodge and there was a storm one night the Wind spirit had started, So cheif of sky and his daughter go to the top of the mountain where the wind was very strong
- the wind spirit had caught her and she had fallen into the hole where she landed in the trees. A grizzly bear had found her and brought her home with him.
- The father was very exited to see them but when he saw them he got very angry because he was not the creator of their kids and the new race. Therefore, the father made them walk on all fours for their punishment.. "You have wronged me, and from this moment all of you will walk on four feet and never talk again" and the chief never came back to the forest to see them.
- "The little red-haired girl and the cubs ate together, played together and grew up together"
- years later they had many children and therefore created new species. the mother of the grizzly bear knew she was dying so she decided to let chief of sky spirits know that she has had her daughter in hopes of forgiveness.
