My name is earth worm sally and I'll be teaching you how my plant friends are able to go through photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Lets go!!!!
First we start off with our light dependent reaction, light energy from the sun hits the chloroplast. A chemical inside that called chlorophyll takes in those photons. A little further down the roots are taking in water from the ground via the roots. This water is split by the photons, releasing oxygen into the air and hydrogen into the chlorophyll
ATP and NADPH are formed during this process which are very important for cellular respiration
Now we have moved past our light dependent reaction and have moved onto our light independent reaction. We start of with our Carbon dioxide entering the stomata in our leaves
The carbon dioxide is then combined with the ATP and NADPH from earlier to produce glucose. This glucose can be used by the mitochondria to keep producing ATP in the light dependent reaction.
This is our correlation between our two processes. Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration both provide each other critical materials to their individual cycles so they are able to keep producing the glucose and ATP needed for the body to function
In conclusion, photosynthesis and cellular respiration work together to make energy for the plant and energy foroxygen for us. Without that, we would all not be alive. So thats all folks, thats the photosynthesis/cellular respiration story board project!
