- Get up and get back to work I don't care if you have a heat stroke I am gonna kick you and hit you until you get up.
- Frederick was lying down because he has a heat stroke. Then Mr.Covey came over to him then kicks him and tells him to get up. Then Covey doesn't stop abusing him because he isn't getting up because his heat stroke is that bad.

- I cant get up. Just do your worse because my body isn't going to get up. My heat stroke is killing me please let me take a break.
- I am tired of being an enslaved person and keep on getting abused by you. I gonna stand up for myself!
- Climax
- Frederick just came back from running away. Then the next morning fredrick and Covey are fighting. Everyone was surprised and shocked that enslaved was standing up the slave master. Frederick won the fight and after that day covey was afraid of him and didn't abuse him after that.
- Why are you fighting back I thought you guys were afraid of me!
- Fredrick didn't get whipped again because his owners were afraid of him. He feels like he has his spriti back he feels like he is free.
- wow I am not going to mess with him again
- I feel free I feel like I got my spirit back I feel a lot better.
