- Exposition 
- Ok, Miss Kinnian I trust you I will get the procedure.
- Charlie, I have recommended you to Doctors that want to perform an operation to improve your intellegence. 
- Conflict
- This surgery isn't working I lost the race to a mouse 
- It is ok Algernon also had the surgery and he is a very intelligent mouse 
- I performed the surgery so I should get the credit for this.
- Rising Action
- I am the person that ran all the test on him and taught  him what he knows.
- Charlie trusts Miss Kinnian when she recommends the surgery because Charlie really likes and thinks he is in love with her. He also is the top of the mental disability adult class.
- Climax
- Is Algernon regressing, because I haven't seen him ever go that slow? 
- Nice job Charlie you beat Algernon again 
- Charlie is frustrated and sad that even with the surgery he can't beat a mouse in a maze race. Dr. Strauss is trying to tell him it takes time and that the mouse also had the surgery and isn't a normal mouse.
- Falling Action
- Charlie realizes that the Doctors are only using him for the fame and for their wellbeing and not his.
- Resolution 
- Charlie starts to see Algernon's regression and realizes that it will eventually happen to him and becomes scared
- Algernon passes away and Charlie is regretting getting the surgery and is starting to get the Algernon-Gordon effect. He is returning to his usual level of intelligence 
- Charlie fully regresses back to where he was and leaves New York because he was embarrassed.
