Storyboard Text

  • OMG! Same! I was dazzled by that chapter too, it’s just too hard.
  • One day at school, a few friends from the same class were discussing the main new topic raging among the students.
  • Hey guys! Did you see the syllabus and timetable posted in the bulletin board!? Gosh, there is very little time and a lot to cover. I haven’t learnt a thing!
  • I know right!? And the chapter, Interior of the Earth is so complicated. I’m really confused.
  • Hearing this, a senior student stalks towards them.
  • Yes! We all are having difficulty in remembering that particular concept.
  • Actually, our problem is a huge chapter we finished in geography, Interior of the Earth. But it isn’t the easiest topic to cover!
  • Hey! I couldn’t help but overhear your discussion, but is there any trouble?
  • THE GROUNDS!?
  • Oh, really!? Can you teach us this amazing method too?
  • Ah, I remember cramming that chapter into my head. It was so tough, until my sister taught me a way to remember things.
  • Sure thing! Let us head towards the grounds.
  • As they walk towards the ground, they fall into another intriguing discussion about the formation of Earth.
  • Wow, that’s pretty amazing.
  • Due to the Big Bang!?
  • That is partly correct. Let me tell you briefly. 15 billion years ago, the whole universe was in a tiny bubble called the cosmic egg. 13.8 million years ago, that little ball began heating up, generating heat when it finally exploded with a bang. This massive explosion is called The Big Bang. Then, when the solar system settled into its current layout about 4.5 billion years ago, Earth formed when gravity pulled swirling gas and dust in to become the third planet from the Sun.
  • As we are going to study the interior of the Earth, let me ask you, how do you think the Earth was formed?
  • I’m really sorry to be a pain, brother. But we don’t have time for games, we have a lot to study.
  • A GAME!?
  • The game is pretty simple. All you have to do is throw these balls in my hand towards any of the circles, and whichever circle the ball falls into, you’ll have to recollect points about that particular part of the interior of the Earth.
  • Okay! What are the rules of the game?
  • Now, we are going to play a game.
  • After reaching the ground premises, as per the instructions of the senior student, the students drew 3 color coordinated concentric circles. And later the senior student marked the circles as Crust, Core and Mantle.
  • Yes, I know! But try out this game, it’s going to help you a lot during studying.
  • Cool! We remember the points now!
  • Yeah, I think it’s called the nife layer?
  • Yes, exactly, you remember these points. I’m going to brief them together along with extra points now. The core extends from 2900 km to 6300 km depth. The outer core is in liquid state while the inner core is in solid state. It is made of heavy metals such as Nickel and Iron, therefore also called the Nife layer.
  • Uh, I think the Core is also filled with something.. Uh.. by nickel and iron, they have a name for it too.
  • Uhmm, uh, I think.. The core is the innermost layer of the Earth..?
  • That’s great! Next point, next person!
  • Likewise we can do it with the other layers of the Earth as well.
