“God gathers us together as diverse people of one faith.”There will be people from different religions. They will be gathered together in an event held by a specific religion where they are able to listen, and pray according to how they usually do it.
In the Sitio of Bacolod, there is a boy named Juan Gabriel. A very kind boy, a jolly one that is always ready to help those in need. He is also very active in the Church and he never failed to extend his hand to assist the Church. You can call him perfect in some way but in reality, he is far from that. He lives in a poor and unfortunate family; he can’t afford to buy toys and he has to work to help his family even at a young age.
One day, Juan received an invitation where he was asked to participate in an event in the Church. It is said that this event will be held in a chapel where people from different religions are present. Juan, as a Catholic did not hesitate to go to the said event. He then informed his mother about this.
“Mama! I received an invitation. I was asked to come to an event where I could meet different people from different religions,”
“That’s great, Juan! Would you want to come?”
“Yes, mama. Will you allow me to go?”
Thank you mama!
“Of course! As your mother, I am happy that my son is growing up knowing God,” His mother proudly said.
The event started and Juan was really happy about this. He made friends with the children, he assisted the older in preparing the event, and he participated in the activities that the Church had. Juan met lots of kids his age coming from different religions. But the thought that the event will go fun and smooth disappeared when he saw his classmate, Jude. Juan never really got along with Jude because he always mock Juan for being poor. At that moment, Juan immediately concluded that he will once again have a hard time socializing with everyone when Jude’s scornful glare is following his every move. Despite that, Juan still tried to approach him. He tried talking to Jude in a friendly way but all he received were insults.
