  • Were are here today to talk about the Articles of Confederation
  • Issues of Shays' Rebellion
  • You have not payed your taxes to the American Government. Now you will be taken away.
  • Please don't do this.

  • We fight for you and this is how you repay us?  Make us pay for unnecessary things?

  • The Creation of the Articles of Confederation was what America made to finally declare its independence from Great Britain. It stated the rules that the states and citizens would have to follow.
  • Constitutional Convention occurs
  • Who will lead the America after we won the war from Britain?
  • We are here to talk about the new America and its rules.
  • Some of the issues that led up to Shays' Rebellion was that people would have to pay the government extra taxes, some had to sell their homes and stores. If they didn't pay, they would be taken away from their families and thrown into jail.

  • Shay's Rebellin was when people went out to the streets and would protest against the government. Eventually, they started to target ammo and guns and would take further action against courts and judges.

  • The Constitutional Convention was an event that took place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The point of the event was to decide how America was going to be governed and its plans for the future.
  • This event was about how America would work. This was decided when New Hampshire became the ninth out of 13 states to agree to it.
  • The Passage of the Bill of Rights was a copy that President George Washington sent out to the states. What was in it were the 12 amendments that were adopted by the states.
