- People with good intrapersonal intelligence have excellent self-awareness and understand their basis. They can analyze their strengths and weaknesses well and can effectively use this information to regulate their own life and career. People with this intelligence also enjoy self-reflection and analysis so they explore new opportunities, analyze theories and assess their personal strengths.
- Intrapersonal
- My second intelligence is Intrapersonal so I am more self-aware of my own emotional states, feelings and motivations and I understand their rationale. With this I also understand my strengths and weaknesses and can apply this knowledge to daily life.
- For example I understand that I tend to lose motivation when I do work in one sitting. I would use this knowledge and effectively regulate my time to where I have breaks in between settings so I don’t lose motivation.
- I also tend to assess my personal strengths as well as my progression in improving my weaknesses. So you would find me doing things that are out of my comfort zones or out of my league in order to better understand myself.
- How so?
- Entrepreneurs relate to the intrapersonal intelligence type as entrepreneurs have the ability to work effectively themselves, while also understanding their motivations and capacities and use them to further benefit their business. When they have a desire to run businesses and will take on many responsibilities that would normally be assigned to different departments in bigger businesses. Personally this occupation sounds quite intriguing however, I don’t think I am fit for the job. I feel like the burden would be too much just for myself. I find myself working better with people who are also skilled.

- Another instance is when I’m making schedules and short-term goals for myself. I take into consideration multiple factors (like how much work I have or which project is due first) while also using results from my previous schedule, analyzing them, understanding the problem and applying that knowledge into my new schedule. (i.e. noting that in my previous project I didn’t do well, as I didn’t have the right time to put in the proper effort. And following that, by arranging my schedule so I have more time for the next project)
- Interpersonal
- People who have strong interpersonal intelligence, are excellent communicators and empathizers. They are good at determining emotions, motivations, desires and intentions of the people around them so they can resolve conflicts with group settings and can see situations from different perspectives.
- My top intelligence is Logical-Mathematical, which means I generally solve and analyze personal or work problems rationally with the use of logical reasoning and empirical proof.
- Well the best personal example would be when I am trying to understand or help my friends with problems. Rather than worrying about how to make them feel better, my first instinct is to get all the facts down and logically try to help them solve their problem.
- My 3rd Intelligence is interpersonal, meaning that I can communicate well with others. I can also understand and relate to the people around me.
- Yea usually in our friend group I’m the mediator and solve group conflicts, I also can work with multiple different people at school during group projects. These are things people with strong interpersonal intelligence have.

- Individuals who are strong in logical-mathematical intelligence have an easier time solving complex problems as they excel in problem-solving. They also like making hypotheses and proving them through experiments.

- Not only counseling psychologists, but many occupations under psychology require those skills that describe individuals with interpersonal intelligence. Counseling psychologists help patients understand problems and work to identify their strengths, or resources they can use to manage problems. This relates to the interpersonal intelligence type as they can effectively interact with others and can understand their desires, motivations and mood. I find the field of psychology to be fascinating and having an occupation in psychology would be something I’d enjoy as learning about the study of the mind and behaviour is something I’m interested in.
- Teachers have many qualities that identify with the interpersonal intelligence type. Teachers must be able to communicate well with students and create positive relationships with them, similar to what interpersonal intelligence people strive in. I don’t find myself teaching as I’m not exactly interested in the occupation.
