Father, what was the First Punic War like?

It was a bloody war fought between the glorious Roman Republic and Carthage. It lasted for 23 years, and resulted in our victory. We gained lots of terrotiry.

What about the Second Punic War?

I vividly remember everything. Especially the battle of Cannae, it was a destructive battle. The great general, Scipio, was able to subdue Hannibal. The war lasted from 218 B.C to 201 B.C.

You detestable Romans shall be crushed by me, Hannibal Barca!

I, Scipio, will crush your barbaric army!

Canae, Carthage 216 B.C.E

IT IS THE ROMANS!

Battle of Cape Ecnomus, 256 B.C.E

What about the Third Punic War?

I did not participate in that one, but it was another Roman victory. It took place between 149 B.C to 146 B.C. We were able to destroy Carthage and took control of the Mediterranean.

Because it is a part of our history. The Punic Wars caused the destruction of Carthage in the short-term. It also allowed us to conquer the Mediterranean and beyond in the long term. It has changed the course of history.
