  • Rome is located on a peninsula or known as Italy. They consider the peninsula "a boot" on the Mediterranean Sea.
  • The Etruscan Influence of sports

  • One day a Princess gave birth to twins, Romulus and Remus. Their father was Mars the god of war. The uncle of the twins wanted power, so he tried to kill them. Them a wolf saved them and thought everything. A man and woman saved them and then they overthrow their uncle. So they made a city with no name so Romulus killed Remus so he could name it.
  • Greek Influence of Architecture
  • The Romans used some of the Etruscan traditions like arches with a piece in the middle that added support and looked pretty. They also used underground trenches to irrigate and drain things.
  • Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion
  • They got most of the bloody sports from Etruscan like slave fighting. The strongest slaves would fight and once one died then the other one would be killed. Other sports are chariot races and gladiator fighting.
  • The Romans adopted from the Greeks by building temples to honor the gods. Also, they have stuff like the Parthenon with columns and life-like statues.
  • Art in Rome was so similar to Greek in present-day you can not really tell the difference. They also have the same gods and goddesses but they have different names. One more thing is that their alphabet were very alike.
