- Ashoka: Did I cause these deaths by conquering the Kalinga region...?
- Ashoka: How can I gain power without seeing people suffer and die, but with peace?
- Ashoka (4): That is exactly what I needed! I need to repay all the sufferings I created.
- Ashoka (2): I came here to seek a way to prevent sufferings.
- Merchant (3): There is a religion called Buddhism where the belief states that all suffering is caused by selfish desires. You can overcome these selfish desires if you practice the religion.
- Merchant (1) : Hello Traveler! Is there anything you seek?
- Ashoka (1): How can I maintain power and be a good leader?
- Local Community People (2): You should give back to the people and respect them.
- Ashoka: People of the Mauryan Empire, I have made edicts for you all to follow to overcome your selfish desires. I will still respect you guys even if you practice another religion but you must be a good citizen.

- Ashoka: I did it. I know this won't be enough for all the pain others went through because of my selfishness to expand the empire but I hope that my people are happy.
