- To start off we need to ask ourselves how to understand key information on how to evaluate resources.
- Good morning my 4th grade class, I asked you guys last week to find research online. It seemed many of you struggled so lets go over some things!
- One way to use online resources is to make sure your source is reliable, some examples would be using (.edu, .org, or .gov)
- Sometimes people put information on the internet that's not true. Some websites that are known for this are (wikipedia, any biased websites), google can been seen as both because it is known as the host website.
- Ms. Campbell, would PBS.org be a good website to use when we do our online research?
- Another tip would be when reading someone's research to make sure they have a strong argument and evidence.
- Yes, exactly! The websites ending in the examples that I gave you have the most factual information.
- The internet can be a tricky place. The library can be a helpful place for you to find information on your topics. It may take longer to find the information but it is always reliable.
