- us envoys wanted france to stop attacking ships but france wanted 500,000 dollars in return, so the us started a half war then france stopped attacking and ended there alliance.

- the us wanted land and british to stop attacking ships but great britain wanted the same, so they went to war, then us won and british and natives signed over land to us.
