  • These ideas on liberty and equality are really inspiring.

  • Some slaves take the chance to flee.

  • Everyone Deserves Liberty and Equality, Even Slaves.The irony of this war is that Americans want freedom for Britain, but won't allow the freedom of slaves. When the war is won, the fight to free slaves will begin.
  • Others decided to stay in America.
  • Well we are from the South, and us and our people want to keep slavery!
  • We are from the North, and us and our people want to emancipate all slaves!
  • Those who stayed were exposed to the idea of liberty and equality.
  • The idea of liberty and equality for all, including African Americans, started to spread.
  • This began the controversial anti-slavery argument within the government and the people, which would go on for many years after the Revolutionary War.
