My name is Tamara Chávez and I am 9 years old, currently living in the beautiful Panama city.
I woke up and did my typical morning routine where I said good morning to my parents. But today was different, oh did i not expect what they were about to tell me. I lay in bed besides my mom, however she starts caressing my hair and says she has something important to tell me.
“We are moving back to Ecuador”
These were the last words a 9 year old living a seemingly perfect life would have expected, and I cried and cried the rest of the day. I just couldn't understand.
The next couple of moths were a torture as we prepared everything, said goodbye to my best friends, watched our colorful apartment become white and empty.
We stayed in a hotel for the last week we spent in Panama and as soon as we got to Ecuador, stayed in another one for 2 months. At least that was fun.
Regardless of the exhausting month we have spents, I am currently living in a beautiful house, everything is settled and I'm going to an American based school. Not much seems different from what normal sounded to us, before.
