- One morning after Trevor moved out, He received a random call from his step-brother Andrew telling him that their mother had been shot by Trevor's step dad, Abel.
- Mom’s been shot
- You killed my mom.
- When Trevors family got home from church Abel was armed and waiting for them in the driveway. In an attempt to save her family Trevor's mom jumped in front of them, she got shot in the butt cheek and fell to the ground Abel proceeded to try to shoot her in the head however the gun misfired 4 times
- You can't afford it
- Yes, I can
- The misfired bought her time, she jumped in the car with Andrew in the passenger seat however she wasn't fast enough Andrew heard the gunshot as the window shield went red.
- What?
- Guess what
- Once Trevor arrives at Linksfield hospital, he receives a call from his dad telling him that if Trevor was there he would have tried to kill him too.
- However hospitals cost money, lots of it. Suspecting Trevor cant afford to pay a nurse comes to tell Trevor that his mom will be transfered to a cheaper hospital. Not one to give up Trevor insists he can afford it, even though the nurse tried telling him he would be in debt for the rest of his life.
- Miraculously Trevor's mom survived, when she woke up from sleeping Trevor was in such shock he started bawling. Not wanting to see her son in a state of misery his mom cracks a joke.
