- This was the first battle of the Revolutionary war. The British came after they heard of a stockpile of weapons in Concord but were stopped in Lexington. This ended with the Patriots winning.
- This was a victory for the patriots. This battle took place at Sullivan Island. Using palmetto trees, the Americans built walls by placing two cut logs sixteen feet apart and filling the space with clay and sand to create the fort on Sullivan Island.
- On December 25, 1776 Washington set across the Delaware River,with 2 other groups at different points, to get there later than wanted at daybreak. Washington was tasked to make a quick decision to either back out or continue on with the mission as the other 2 groups hadn't made it across the Delaware. He chose to continue on with his mission with the remaining men he had with him. They split into 2 groups and successfully caught the British off guard, killing 905 of the British and only 5 Americans. This win would help win the American Revolution.
