- The U.S constitution is the main laws the citizens and the Government have to follow.
- Today we are going to be learning about the U.S constitution.
- First let's talk about the 3 branches. The Legislative, Judicial and Executive
- The Judicial branch is made up of the Supreme Court and Congress
- The Legislative is made up of the House and Senate and is responsible for making all laws.
- And finally the Executive branch is made up of the President and his agencies and is responsible for enforcing laws across America
- The bill of rights are the first 10 amendments which are the main rights in the constitution
- In order for a bill to become a law the bill has to pass through the house of representatives, the senate and has to finally be approved by the president
- But if the President doesn't approve of the bill it becomes a veto and the government decides if its necessary
- and finally we are going to learn about separation of powers which is also known as checks and balances.
- This is a law by the constitution where all the branches of Government are to be kept separate.
