The U.S constitution is the main laws the citizens and the Government have to follow.
Today we are going to be learning about the U.S constitution.
First let's talk about the 3 branches. The Legislative, Judicial and Executive
The Judicial branch is made up of the Supreme Court and Congress
The Legislative is made up of the House and Senate and is responsible for making all laws.
And finally the Executive branch is made up of the President and his agencies and is responsible for enforcing laws across America
The bill of rights are the first 10 amendments which are the main rights in the constitution
In order for a bill to become a law the bill has to pass through the house of representatives, the senate and has to finally be approved by the president
But if the President doesn't approve of the bill it becomes a veto and the government decides if its necessary
and finally we are going to learn about separation of powers which is also known as checks and balances.
This is a law by the constitution where all the branches of Government are to be kept separate.
