  • The U.S constitution is the main laws the citizens and the Government have to follow.
  • Today we are going to be learning about the U.S constitution.
  • First let's talk about the 3 branches. The Legislative, Judicial and Executive
  • The Judicial branch is made up of the Supreme Court and Congress
  • The Legislative is made up of the House and Senate and is responsible for making all laws.
  • And finally the Executive branch is made up of the President and his agencies and is responsible for enforcing laws across America
  • The bill of rights are the first 10 amendments which are the main rights in the constitution
  • In order for a bill to become a law the bill has to pass through the house of representatives, the senate and has to finally be approved by the president
  • But if the President doesn't approve of the bill it becomes a veto and the government decides if its necessary
  • and finally we are going to learn about separation of powers which is also known as checks and balances.
  • This is a law by the constitution where all the branches of Government are to be kept separate.
