Storyboard Text

  • It was time to leave, but the mighty god of the sea, Poseidon, was still looking for revenge, so Circe instructed Odysseus to go the the Land of the Dead so that he could speak to the prophet Tiresias.
  • Sail north, and north again..
  • As more days and nights passed, they started to mean nothing. There was only an endless, clammy gloom from the thick fog settled around them as unease sprouted in Odysseus and his men.
  • Soon, Odysseus was near the banks of a dark, and oily river and on the other sideland of the dead. Suddenly, Odysseus notices one ghost in particular, and is overjoyed. It was Achilles, his ally and close friend during the Trojan War, until he tragically died. However, he then fled.
  • I would rather be a beggar!
  • Achilles, is everything alright? We won the war!
  • Eventually, Odysseus found Tiresias, and guided him to the pool of blood. The blind prophet explained to him a vision he had, and what he must do. Slowly but surely, more and more ghosts appeared to listen.
  • You must go on a tough journey..
  • What should I do?
  • Among the newly arrived ghosts, Odysseus found another familiar face - the face of his mother. He knew then and there, he was gone for too long.
  • I'll never feel her embrace ever again.
  • Odysseus and his two companions ran faster than the wind, tripping over the tree roots and just barely crashing into plants as they sped away from the Land of the Dead and towards their ship and crew.
  • Poor man. We shouldn't ask him.
  • QUICK!
